The Virupaksha Temple is an ancient Hindu temple located in Hampi, India.  The temple is believed to have been constructed during the 7th century AD by the Chalukya dynasty, although it has undergone several renovations and additions over the centuries. 

 

The main gopura (entrance tower) is over 50 meters tall. This towering structure is an impressive sight to behold and is adorned with intricate carvings of various Hindu deities and mythological creatures. These carvings and impressive architecture are a testament to the skill and craftsmanship of its ancient builders.
